New: Tales from the Fiddle Tree
"Tales from the Fiddle Tree" is a children's book and CD, with a curriculum for classrooms to study classical and folk music and the people of Ukraine.
Ukraine
Michi went to Ukraine the first time for private tutoring at the folklore department of Lysenko Conservatory; up the worn stone stairs that Hapsburgs trod; down the hall, past the accordions and banduras. She admits to some preparation through a summer of Wednesdays with Oksana Moshinsky and a friend in the Peace Corps.
Imuris, Mexico

Casa de Elizabeth is an orphanage in Imuris, Mexico founded in 1985 to provide a safe haven for orphan, abused and abandoned children. Currently, around one hundred of them from all across the country conform this great family.

Genealogy

These images were taken in Champaign, IL on my genealogical research trip there from June 20-22, 2006. I went looking for evidence of Abel and George Harwood from the mid-nineteenth century, and I found a township named after them!

(LEFT) George's house, now Terry's Design Center, but still in original condition. This part was being worked on by friendly construction guys who took my picture.

(RIGHT) With Abel's very own copy of the 1885 Champaign County Gazeteer, still in the library, and still showing his signature on the first 10 pages.
